Unique Gifting Portal

Unique Gifting Portal

Good Morning, y’all!

One awesome thing about our game is our community… Okay, let’s be honest, it really is the best thing about it. Shh… One of the ways our community is awesome is in their support of the game through putting a bit of themselves into WallaBee through Player Uniques. After switching over from Version 1 to Version 2, the gifting portal (along with various other components) were temporarily turned off.

I think you understand where we’re going with this one… so I’ll just cut to the chase. The Unique Gifting portal is now online and operational (thanks, Mizak)! You can find¬†the gifting portal through your login on The best thing? You can gift easily from mobile with a friendly responsive design! Here’s a quick image of the desktop view. Pay no attention to the amount of honeycombs in my account…

Desktop View

Unlike the previous Unique Gifting portal, this one does not currently allow for MIXINGPOOL and RECYCLE commands. In the meantime, if you would like to recycle the items around the world, you will have to gift to yourself and then recycle them like normal. If you would like an item added to the Mixerpool, please gift them to yourself and send an email to support. We will add it to the pool for you.

We hope you enjoy the new feature we continue to add to the website. This Unique Gifting Portal should make things feel a bit more like home.

Version 2.0.4 Update

Trading and Bug Fixes

Hello Everyone!

Version 2.0.4 is now live in the App Store. This update fixes multiple bugs, including the recent trading crash which caused our players to have issues initiating trades with other users. In order to fix this trading issue, we decided it would be easier, and within everyone’s best interest, to¬†give the trading interface a overdue¬†pick-me-up.

After downloading 2.0.4, you will have access to this new trading mechanic. Everything works the same, whether you choose your item or another player’s item first. Here’s a quick preview about how the new interface looks.

Initiate the trade like normal from your item or a friend’s

Select the second item in the trade. Your item is always on the left and your friend’s is on the right.

Select whether you would like to include Honeycombs with your item or request them from your friend. You cannot send and receive honeycombs within the same transaction.

The red ‘Request Honeycombs’ button signifies that this is not an option.

To remove Honeycombs from the trade, or change who is giving the HC, simply change the amount to 0. You can now send your trade!

In addition to these changes, you will find that there are new pins on the map view, as well as correct trading invalidations when a trade you’ve proposed is voided by your friend dropping, locking, saving, or otherwise changing the state of the item. No more new trade bugs! If you do have an older trade that’s stuck, unable to cancel, please email support and we will fix it quickly.

We appreciate your patience and support as we work toward making WallaBee 2.0 the best version possible.

Free Comic Book Day!

Here in the United States, we take our nerdom seriously. So serious, in fact, May 6th is celebrated as Free Comic Book Day, where select retailers give out free copies of our favorite superheroes in action.

Beginning today, you can find a Munzeeman Comic in the WallaStore for 1hc. Yes, it’s not completely free, but it’s sure darn close! You can find more information about this green-masked hero on our website.

Version 2 Update Notes

Version 2 Update

Hello everyone!

It’s finally May! That means that we will be releasing Version 2 this month. In fact, we have some great news to share with y’all today. We hope you’re sitting down!

Firstly, we are very excited to announce that Version 2 is now LIVE in the App Store! You can update the app by launching the App Store and navigating to Updates. Once the update has finished, you will have to log back into the app with your username (or email) and password. Depending on your location, you may not see the update right away. For this reason, we are reserving a drop-free time period until the end of May 1st CT. Unfortunately, the Android version will not be released today, but will be available very soon. We ran into some kinks that need to be straightened out before it goes live to new users.

If you haven’t been following with the previous forum posts, this iOS update brings a completely rewritten app – front and back. Everything from the user interface to the API has been carefully crafted for the benefit of you, our players. Since the API has been rewritten, we will be shutting down the current API Tuesday, May 2nd. This means that the current app version 1.6 will not work as of tomorrow. For uninterrupted gameplay, we recommend updating your app as soon as it is available. This will effect all third party apps, with the exception of ItemBrowser (kinda). We will be handling requests for new API keys in the near future for any developers that are interested in updating/creating third party tools. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes our players.

Secondly, we are proud to announce that WallaBee is getting hitched! We are joining forces with ItemBrowser to create a brand new tool for our website, which we’re re-branding as ItemBee. ItemBee will be live soon and will be found on our website. This new tool currently features the ability to look up sets, items, numbers, users, and more! With this marriage, you can expect to see great things coming in the near future for ItemBee.

Now, back to the part you all are excited about: Version 2.

WB2.0 Overview

This version of WallaBee will cover a multitude of updates and enhancements. Everything about the app has been rewritten for efficiently fun gameplay, which allows all of our players the ability to continue adding items to their sets the moment it is released. You won’t lose any of your items. While many features of the fabled Version 2 will not be implemented in today’s release, we have big plans for subsequent versions of the app. The best part of this new app? No more friend bug and 512 errors. The following list is not exhaustive, but explains the most crucial changes. One thing to remember: “Just because it was in the old app, doesn’t mean it will continue to the new app.”

  • Brand New App – inside and out.
  • Login On-boarding
  • Places Map View
  • Places List View Verified Banner
  • Pouch Organization – long press to move
  • Tap Through Stores – tap ‘WallaStore’ banner to quickly change stores.

  • Some Layout Adjustments
  • Foraging Cool-down
  • Place Radius Fix
  • Updated Place View
  • Market Items Only Display If There’s Quantity
  • Made Locked Items Easier To View
  • Changed Messages/Conversations Layout
  • Removed 512 Errors

  • Removed Hidden Items – they’re still your locked items.

Missing Content/Bugs

Give us a little bit of time with this. We’re aware of the missing bits and will be working on adding them ASAP. Here’s a list of examples. This is not an exhaustive list.

  • Certain Mixes Don’t Work – jousters, fortune/trick card, christmas cracker, etc.
  • Cannot Open Mystery Box
  • Forum Notifications
  • Push Notifications
  • In-game Locklist Unlock – currently unlocks and leaves the item at its current location.
  • Using wifi can sometimes hinder GPS location accuracy.
  • Unique Gifting Portal will be down for a short while. Please contact me directly if you need assistance.

Planned Features

  • Saving Variants
  • More Privacy Settings
  • Location Updates
  • The Boing?!

We want to thank each and every player for sticking with us through our times of growth. We know it’s been a roller coaster at times, but roller coasters are fun, right? As always, please reach out to support if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
